ClimArtLab gets off the ground!

Exciting news! artEC/Oindustry will join forces with the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research (KLI) in Klosterneuburg, Austria! The ClimArtLab is ready to go!

Dominika Glogowski and Guido Caniglia, scientific director at the KLI, have been awarded with the StartClim2020 prize! StartClim, which is coordinated by the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, promotes interdisciplinary research on the complexities of climate change in Austria.

Over the span of one year, Dominika, Guido and the KLI will thus develop a ClimArtLab to tackle and experiment with questions, actions and solution-oriented scenarios on climate change through transdisciplinary collaboration and the arts!

Guido has introduced and fosters action-based research and sustainability science at the internationally renowned research facility on life sciences since his appointment in 2018. Dominika is shaping new narratives through bridging theory with artistic practice and broadening STEM through STEAM or SHAPE (social sciences, humanities & the arts for people & economy) as recently coined by the British Academy, the London School of Economics, the Arts Council and the Academy of Social Sciences in the UK.

Let the fruitful endeavour begin!
